Our aim is to provide the facilities and
opportunities for the disabled to take part in sport and recreation at any level they
wish, whether that be at a competitive level with all it rigours or at the purely
recreational level for some light hearted fun.
The
term disabled means anyone with any form of impediment, whether it be physical, metal or
just age. All these mean certain things are not within our ability, They certainly do not
and should not, deter us from gaining enjoyment and satisfaction from sport and leisure
activities, whether they are strenuous and energetic or of a more sedate nature.
The
‘OWLS’ intention is that whilst we provide the facilities, they will be
available for everyone alike. The process of integration will continue and hopefully gain
speed with the able-bodied and disabled joining together in their leisure and sporting
activities, thereby creating a greater knowledge and understanding of each other.
