Directions for

WEST HILL SCHOOL, Stamford Street, STALYBRIDGE

M62 / M60 MOTORWAY (from the west & north)

Travel along the M62 MOTORWAY eastbound as it becomes the M60 MOTORWAY

Come off at junction 18 and take the third exit for MANCHESTER

Stay on the M60 MOTORWAY southbound for approximately 8 miles

After approximately 8 miles come off at exit 23 off the M60 MOTORWAY that is signposted (A635) ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE

Keep to one of the two left hand lanes at the traffic lights that are signposted  ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE (A635)

 Go left at these lights, you are now on Manchester Road

Keep on  Manchester Road (A635) for about ½ mile, passing through one set of pelican and one set of traffic lights

You will then come to another set of lights just before a large roundabout with a church situated in the middle of it

Follow the sign for STALYBRIDGE (A635) & TOWN CENTRE

Keep in one of the two middle lanes as you go through these lights

Staying in one of the two middle lanes you will come to another set of traffic lights1

Go through these lights onto a dual carriageway, this is Park Parade (A635)

Keep on Park Parade (A635) for about ¼ of a mile until you come to another large roundabout

Take the third exit, which is signposted SHEFFIELD (A616) & STALYBRIDGE (A635) staying on the dual carriageway Park Parade (A635)

After a 1/3^rd of a mile you will come to another roundabout

Take the third exit following the signs for SHEFFIELD (A616) & STALYBRIDGE (A635) - this is still Park Parade

Park Parade merges into Stamford Street after about 250 yards (still the A635)

Drive along Stamford Street (as it becomes Stamford Square then back to Stamford Street) for approximately for 4/5^ths of a mile, passing through one set of pelican and  one set of traffic lights

You will then pass (you will see Stamford Park on your left) through another set of pelican lights and shortly after that you will come to another set of traffic lights

Go through these lights still heading towards SHEFFIELD (A616) & STALYBRIDGE (A635)

Shortly after passing Astley Road on your left you will come to a set of bollards

Turn immediately left after these bollards into the driveway of West Hill School

Drive up the narrow road to the top and at the very top of the driveway as it bends to the right turn sharp left and drive the short distance to the car park

The  Sports Hall (in white cladding & blue paintwork) is immediately in front of you

M60 MOTORWAY (from the east and north)

Travel along the M62 MOTORWAY westbound to junction 18

ii

Come off at junction 18 and take the first exit for MANCHESTER / STOCKPORT as it becomes the M60 MOTORWAY

then follow the directions from numbers 3 to 24 above

M60 MOTORWAY (from the south)

Come off at exit 23 off the M60 MOTORWAY that is signposted ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE (A6140)

At the top of the sliproad as you reach the traffic lights keep to the right hand lane of the two lanes that are signposted MANCHESTER (A635) & ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE (A6140)

DO NOT take the far right hand lane that is signposted AUDENSHAW (A6140)

Turn left and go through the traffic lights manoeuvring to one of the two right hand lanes at the next set of traffic lights that are signposted ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE, Ring Road N, & (M60)

Turn right at these lights and go through a set of traffic lights that is signposted ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE (A635)

You will then go over the M60 MOTORWAY and come to another set of traffic lights

 Go through these lights and follow the directions from point 7 above onwards
